Black Cat : Red Corset

The wonderful Liz
commissioned this doll,
based on her bombay cat;
a real beauty with
black fur and golden eyes.

A cat in a red corset?
How could I resist?

So here she is.

Corset lacing at the back.

I loved the brocade,
but it wasn't the easiest thing
to set eyelets in.

Thanks to Patti and Paula at
I now call this a
Butt Bow.

Red kinky boots!

These are modeled with
paper clay directly onto the cloth,
with a cocktail stick armature
for the  heel and then lots of
painting and sanding.

Posing!

She's on her way
to the UK
but I thought I'd
post the photos now.

Liz had her own wonderful dolls

like Holly Berry here.

    1. Thank you, Dogs Mom! I did a lot of research first and found that there are differences between the US and UK breeds, as they emerged independently of each other. I also sculpt my heads over an egg shape, so I had to emphasis the oriental cat look. But if she reminds you of a bombay, then I'm thrilled to bits! And yes, cattitude was what I was going for!

  18. Greetings Rhissanna,

Yes, it's me, Penny the Jack Russell dog and modest internet superstar! I note another Penny in the comments. Hello, another Penny :)

You have some very talented friends. Yes, even I like the cat doll in a red Corvette, sorry, corset. As for those red kinky boots, they look very much like my human, Gary's.

    Pawsitive wishes,

    Penny :)

I'm glad you approve of the red boots and I'm sure Gary looks absolutely fab in his. I'm sorry it's a cat doll. I think it's about time I made a dog doll. Would you like to pose for one? 2. Next year, if I can make the time, I'd like to see if I can sculpt a Penny-head. She really does have a cute face! If I can make a Penny-head, I can probably make a Penny-doll.
